You are in the right place

After the September 11 attacks, a company with offices in the World Trade Center invited its executives and employees who had somehow survived the attack to share their experiences.
Today I would like to share their experiences with you. I hope they will be as useful to you as they were to me.
People were alive for the simplest reasons…, little details like that:
A company director was running late because it was his son’s first day of kindergarten.
One woman was late because her alarm clock did not go off on time.
One person was late because he was stuck on the road due to an accident.
Another survivor missed the bus.
Someone spilled food on his shirt and had to change.
One had a problem with his car that wouldn’t start.
Another returned to answer the phone.
Another had a baby!
Another person couldn’t get a cab.
But the most impressive story was of a man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning and stopped at a drugstore before going to work to put on a Band-Aid because he had gotten a blister. That is why he is alive today.
Now, when I get stuck in traffic, when I miss an elevator, when I go back to answer a phone, and many other things that make me desperate, the first thing I think is:
“This is exactly where I need to be right now.”
So, the next time your morning seems crazy, when the kids take forever to get dressed, when you can’t find your car keys, or when you run every red light… don’t get angry or frustrated.
You are in the right place at the right time.
Thank you for reading.
