NOTHING IS A COINCIDENCE
Nothing you do or what happens to you is a coincidence. Either you have listened to your inner voice and followed it, or you have ignored it and therefore have something to learn and improve. Everything that happens to you has a meaning and carries a blessing within it, even if it is based on mistakes or bad actions.

Deep down in your heart you know what you are called to be. If you doubt it, you need to practice listening more. Disconnect from so many electronic devices, dare to feel the silence, breathe deeply and make being alone with yourself the most important habit, in the present and connected to your spirituality.
There are those who meditate to achieve this, seeking to empty themselves of any thoughts or desires. Others speak of mindfulness, which requires being attentive to the present, aware of oneself. It is not about emptying oneself of thoughts, but rather letting them pass; not getting caught up in them.
Depression worsens when one is tied to the past; anxiety, when one lives thinking about the future without hope. On the other hand, in the present one is forced to look at reality. It is a challenge to be in the present.
Some mindfulness practitioners add self-compassion to the practice by breathing consciously. They have done so because they have found better results in field studies.

Christian prayer is the contemplation of a personal God (who is also a being in relation, being Trinitarian), love, mercy, compassion. So if you are a Christian or believe in a personal God, this type of prayer will be the best way to listen to that voice of the Spirit, respond to it and strengthen your inner life. It will not only help you to live in the present, but to be in it compassionately and in hope as you discover your mission.
When you realize that nothing is a coincidence and that everything has a reason for being or happening, you will realize the power you have to relate better to your own life and everything around you.
