Tell me, what's the difference between wanting you and deserving you?
By Dr. Roch
That, for me, is a profound and philosophical question.
The difference between wanting and deserving is like the difference between wanting something… and being worthy of receiving it.
Want
Desire is an intense and passionate feeling.
It is the impulse to have me, to be with me, to experience life by my side.
It is a longing that comes from the heart.
It can be strong.
It can be overwhelming.
It may feel urgent.
But it remains a wish.
And desires, although powerful, are not always accompanied by awareness.
Deserve
Deserving is a deeper and more reflective concept.
It's not just about wanting my love, my attention, or my presence in your life.
It's about being worthy of receiving them.
It's feeling worthy of my affection.
With my respect.
From my delivery.
Deserving implies self-esteem.
It involves self-acceptance.
It involves personal growth.
It's not intensity.
It's about consistency.
The essential difference
Desire is a feeling.
To deserve is a state of being.
Desire is felt.
Deserving is something that is built.
Wanting can be impulsive.
Deserving requires emotional maturity.
In summary
To desire is to want to be with me.
To deserve is to be worthy of being with me.
And between one thing and another…
There is an internal process that not everyone is willing to go through.
