Going Deep VS Being Shallow
Nothing is as it seems on the surface and that is why we are deceived, lied to and betrayed.
The word deep puts you in a place where you can't see clearly but you can touch on what's important.
These are times of maximum superficiality and almost complete dependence on the image.
These are times of maximum efficiency. And efficiency is almost a slave to superficiality.
Anything is “content.” Content is created in a matter of minutes.
And creating short, high-impact content often forces us to elaborate little, correct and edit quickly, and put emphasis on what is seen, even when we are sharing words. Words can also be superficial, uninhabited, hollow.
There are words that sound good, that attract people, even if they don't say anything. There are combinations of words that are "cool," "glamorous," and yet they still don't say much.
In meditation, in Yoga, in Martial Arts, in literary writing, and sometimes on the stage, the search is to go deeper.
In breathing, which opens and unlocks portals.
In the postures, which reveal tensions and in the tensions, repressed emotions.
In the forms that allow us to connect and develop focus and power towards a goal.
In literary writing, which allows us to know ourselves, recognize ourselves and let out what needs to be expressed.
On stage, which is much more than a space to represent other people's lives.
We don't go deeper because we want to achieve a more meaningful, or interesting, result. We go deeper because going deeper is living a more meaningful, or interesting, life.
We delve deeper because within our being there are wonderful worlds to discover.
We delve because we have no limits in our sensitivity, creativity and ability to transform and transform ourselves.
We delve deeper because the being is hidden, buried, trapped, beneath infinite layers of mind, ego, whims, prejudices, expired contracts that continue to function as if they were in force, disguises, armor, masks and labyrinths.
We delve deeper because real-life magic requires a lot of letting go in order to manifest.
We delve deeper because in the depths there is infinite wisdom of the Thymus (spirit).
