MENTAL OBESITY

Welcome. Thank you for being here with me.

We live in a time where mental obesity does more harm than physical obesity.
However, almost everyone is only concerned with the body: diets, surgeries, supplements, and endless routines.
But mental obesity goes unnoticed… and it's driving people crazy.

Try it: call the psychiatric hospital in your city.
You'll see that it's full.

People saturated with ideas, theories, and concepts,
but devoid of action, consistency, and real results.

The modern deception of knowledge

Mental obesity is the illusion of believing that knowing is the same as being.
That by taking a course, reading a book or filling a notebook... you have already evolved.

But life isn't measured in diplomas or underlined phrases:
It is measured in decisions, relationships, and results.

The value of your life is not defined by what you know,
but what you do with what you know.

Today, intellectuals who are constipated when it comes to action abound:
They store information, but they never digest it or put it into practice.
They know so much... that they do nothing.
They have analysis paralysis.

Knowledge that is not applied is burdensome

Knowledge without practice becomes a burden, a kind of mental fat that makes you heavy and slow.

The mentally obese person devours books, podcasts, workshops, and seminars seeking to fill an internal void…
But that void can only be filled by doing.

He feeds on theories, but never exercises his will.
Thus, an excess of knowledge without action becomes addictive, useless, and enslaving.

The lying mind whispers to you:

“The more you know, the more you are worth.”

And that's false.
Knowing a lot just turns you into a data warehouse.
Doing a lot makes you a results creator.

The false power of knowledge

We love feeling powerful because we "know".
We thought:

“"If I read this book, I'm already an expert."”
“"If I finish this course, I'm already a leader."”

But that's just ego disguised as wisdom.
Knowledge without practice is intellectual arrogance:
an ego trap that makes you feel advanced while you're still in the same place.

Theory has no life.
It doesn't add quality to your existence.
Believing that knowledge transforms you is as absurd as thinking that a leaf with the word water on it can wet you if it is thrown in your face.

A brutally simple story

A scholar recited the Bible from memory to a humble friend.
Proudly, he boasted of his vast theological knowledge.

The other, calmly, replied:

“I only know one verse… but I practice it every day.”

Silence.
That was the lesson:
Wisdom is not in what you know, but in what you practice.

Practice: the path of the wise

Knowledge is a map.
A plan. A theory on paper.
But the journey is made on foot.

Knowing how to train doesn't transform you.
Get up and do it every day, yes.

Knowledge guides you;
Practice builds you a life with real results.

Therefore, emotional maturity does not stem from understanding,
but from the constructive pain of action.
Discipline transforms information into transformation.

Congruence: a daily exercise for the soul

Knowing that you have to be honest and lie... is mental obesity.
Knowing how to love and not doing it… is emotional obesity.

The wise man practices what he preaches.,
even if his legs tremble.
That courage to live your truth
It is the strongest muscle of the soul.

Stop accumulating. Start taking action.

For every book, course, or podcast you consume,
Don't ask yourself:

“What did I learn?”
Ask yourself:
“"What am I going to do about this today?"”

Knowledge is only power when it becomes behavior.
Stop collecting titles in your head
and start building evidence in your life.

Study less. Practice more.
Talk less. Act more.
Knowing doesn't make you wise. Doing makes you free.

That's why I studied my doctorate in behavior, not theory.
Because Behavioral Neuroscience is the only one that transforms a lying mind into a congruent human being.
