LEADERSHIP THAT CREATES LOYALTY

By Dr. Roch

Loyalty is not required.
It is provoked by behavior.

1. The original mistake of many leaders

🔹 Leaders of masculine behavior (in general)

  • They seek absolute loyalty from people who "no longer exist".
  • They idealize a type of partner or collaborator who should "come ready-made".

🔹 Female-led leaders (in general)

  • They are looking for people who do not yet exist, but who are in the process of being created.
  • They appeal to potential, but sometimes they disconnect from present reality.

👉 Both mistakes have something in common:
They are in their heads, out of focus on themselves and disconnected from reality.

2. Central principle

👉 If you want loyal people, start with your behavior.

  • Lower your expectations of others by six notches.
  • Raise your standards for yourself by ten… in your behavior.

Loyalty is not something you preach.
It is proven.

3. How to build real loyalty

Compatibility before perfection

  • Look for people who are compatible with you in key values, not ideal people.
  • Loyalty is not a starting point; it is a process.

People in process

  • Loyalty grows through real interaction, not through speeches.
  • The loyalty rate increases when:
    • They know you
    • They're watching you
    • They experience you

4. What must exist for someone to be loyal

A person is loyal when:

  1. Act with the same values and priorities as you.
  2. He doesn't work just for money.
  3. He does things for the same reasons you do.
  4. He feels that you matter to him as a person.
  5. She senses that you too will be loyal to her.

👉 If someone doesn't feel important to you,
You won't matter to him either... and there will be no loyalty.

5. Loyalty cannot be forced

  • It is not required.
  • It's not for sale.
  • It is not manipulated.

👉 It is inspired by behavior, through:

  • Constant communication
  • Genuine interest
  • Daily consistency

6. Leadership is not a title

A leader is not a person.
It's a verb. It's a behavior.

  • Leadership is a habit.
  • To lead is to be an example of loyalty.
  • Leading is about reading reality and adapting to it.
  • To lead is to improve reality.

When you improve reality:

  • Results appear.
  • Success appears.
  • And people want to be close.

That's where loyalty is born.

7. The leader reads realities, he doesn't order people around.

A leader:

  • Read the emotional and operational reality.
  • He is empathetic.
  • He knows how far each person can go.
  • Delegate based on actual capabilities.

👉 When someone says “it can’t be done”,
He's talking about his limitations, not yours or the team's.

8. Developing people generates loyalty

  • The leader's job is to optimize people.
  • Teaching others to be better than they are.
  • The success of the team is the success of the leader.

⚠️ When the team needs the leader to function, the relationship becomes unhealthy.

The healthy leader:

  • Develops autonomy.
  • It does not create dependency.
  • Celebrate when others shine.

9. Loyalty is care

  • Taking care of people.
  • Take care of your job.
  • Preserve culture.

Clear model:

I take care of my team.
My team takes care of the customers.
The way I take care of them.

10. Loyalty is dynamic

  • It is not static.
  • It changes with reality.
  • It requires constant readjustments of priorities.

Many acts of “disloyalty”
👉 These are prioritization errors, not malicious intent.

11. What is loyalty, really?

Loyalty is:

  • Consistency between behavior and values.
  • Loyalty to your identity.
  • Commitment and honesty.

A loyal person:

  • It's predictable.
  • He does not change his criteria according to convenience.
  • He is true to himself.

👉 Only those who are loyal to themselves can be loyal to others.

12. Disloyalty doesn't just appear out of nowhere.

Selfishness,
individualism
and betrayal

These are learned behaviors…

👉 usually due to a lack of leadership and culture.

13. Key exercise for leaders

  1. Write down 3 values that govern your life.
  2. How do you demonstrate your commitment to them through your behavior?
  3. What should you change to be more true to those values?
  4. Are there any behaviors of yours that conflict with them?

14. Loyalty indicators in a team

A loyal person:

  1. She is grateful to be part of the team.
  2. He takes care of the company as if it were his own home.
  3. He does not knowingly betray or harm.
  4. Fulfill commitments with focus, creativity, and consistency.
  5. Protect confidential information.
  6. Prioritize the good of the team over personal interest.
  7. Actively collaborate.
  8. Defend the organization's public image.
  9. Take care of and respect the people on the team.

15. Key Closure

👉 Loyalty is not something you ask for.
It is provoked.
It's contagious.
It is built through behavior.
