FACE NEW SITUATIONS
Welcome to this article, to this new reflection.
Self-confident people know that sometimes it is hard to feel confident. It is not always easy to face new situations and challenges.
You have to allow yourself to feel uncertain and confused. No one is perfect. No one knows everything. In situations like this, it's okay to say, "I'm not confident." Give yourself time to figure out what you need to do or where to go. Let your confidence come through in this new situation.
IF YOU ACT WITH CERTAINTY, YOU WILL STRENGTHEN YOUR CONFIDENCE.
Trust your evidence.
When I advise my clients I often tell them that if they want to do something differently, they should pretend to do it until it comes naturally.
That is, they should act as if they already know how to do it. This also works very well for trust. Try this.
Act as if:
• You would be comfortable and happy with the person you are.
• You feel good about what you are doing.
• You're fine with where you're going.
People around you won't notice that you're acting. The brain acts to feel. By appearing confident, others will have an easier time connecting, working, and being with you.
